Summer Hours

The ASL Library will have more limited summer hours, which begin Saturday, April 30.

The Library will be staffed Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. We will be closed to the public on Saturdays and Sundays.

Students (including recent graduates) with a valid ID card will have "after-hours" access from 8 am to 10 pm Monday through Friday, noon to 6 pm Saturday, and 5 pm to 10 pm Sunday.

We will be completely closed with no card access on a few holidays, including Commencement Weekend (Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1), Memorial Day (Monday, May 30), and Independence Day (Monday, July 4).

Extended Hours Begin

It's the beginning of our exam weeks, so once again, the Appalachian School of Law Library is allowing extended access to the building. Students with a valid ID card will now be able to stay in the Library until 2 am (instead of midnight). The extended access runs through Friday, April 29, when we close at 5 pm (and stay closed the entire Commencement weekend).

Best of luck on exams!

National Library Week 2011: Day 5

All good things must come to an end, and thus we wrap up another successful National Library Week. Thanks to all our student and staff puzzlers who completed one puzzle -- or several puzzles -- all week. We've posted a list of all the winners and the prizes they won on our National Library Week page. (If you won, stop by the Circulation Desk to pick up your prize.)

Thanks also to Lexis and Westlaw for again supplying us with many great prizes.

If you somehow missed all the fun, feel free to check out our NLW page to catch up as all the puzzles are posted there.

National Library Week 2011: Day 4

The Appalachian School of Law Library finishes up with the puzzles today. We'd tell you the theme, but it's a clue to the puzzle itself! Unscramble the words and then unscramble certain letters to fill in a phrase. You can find our puzzles at the Circulation Desk or on our National Library Week page.

No puzzle tomorrow - it's the day we give out prizes!

National Library Week 2011: Day 2

The Appalachian School of Law Library continues to celebrate National Library Week all week long with some law-related puzzles. Today's puzzle is a word search based on property distribution phrases. There's even a hidden phrase in the unused letters. Find it on our National Library Week page.

National Library Week 2011: Day 1

Once again, the ASL Library celebrates National Library Week with a bunch of puzzles about law -- this year's theme is generally based on property. Today's puzzle, though, deals with us: the library staff and the services we provide. Check at the Circulation Desk or on our National Library Week page for today's puzzle!

Please note that prizes are only available to ASL students, staff, and faculty. Our thanks to LexisNexis and Westlaw for providing the prizes.
