Exam Tip: Moderation!

Our last tip this week offers a bit of relief: Don't spend EVERY minute studying for finals. Take some time tonight or this weekend and spend time with family or friends. Relax. Rent a movie, or even go to the theater (Chris would recommend Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire; Becky has said Walk the Line was also good). Dan suggested eating a good breakfast before the exam, but the Library staff encourages you to eat well all the time (well, maybe not while in the Library).

Although it might not seem like it now, there's more to life than passing an exam.

Class Schedule: Nov. 29 - Dec. 1

Don't forget that the class schedule is a little strange this week.

Monday, November 28: Monday classes held

Tuesday, November 29: Wednesday classes held
Wednesday, November 30: Thursday classes held
Thursday, December 1: Friday classes held

Friday, December 2: Study day; no classes held

Exam Tip: Use ALL Your Resources!

Today is the last day of Fall 2005 classes at ASL. Now the studying begins full-time!

We've discussed this week many exam preparation tips, including outlining your courses, going to review sessions, and practicing with prior exams.

But don't forget about the other resources that we have available in the Library! (How could you, when our monthly newsletter -- which just got distributed yesterday -- keeps reminding you?) We have Hornbooks and Nutshells for most every legal topic. We have the "Examples and Explanations" series, which provides succinct summaries of the law, then gives sample questions and even answers. We have the LexisNexis/Matthew Bender "Understanding" series that provides decent reviews of legal areas. And don't neglect the CALI CDs that you can install on your computer (or go to the web site if you get the authorization code from our Reference Desk). Ask for these items at the Circulation Desk.
