Welcome, 1Ls!

The ASL Library warmly welcomes all 1Ls to campus!

You will be passing through the Library on Monday afternoon for your ID card pictures. Those pictures will be taken from 1:30 pm to 4 pm in the Library's Microfiche Room.

Also during that block of time, you will need to go to the Lower Level Classroom (in the Classroom Building) and register your e-mail account. You will not have access to the Library computers -- even to check an external e-mail account -- until your ASL account has been created.

Since you won't have your ASL ID card immediately, we've relaxed the "ID check" rules that require you to have an ID card to use the Library. If you're in town early on Sunday, you can use the Library from 1 pm to midnight (although after 10 pm, you will not be able to enter or re-enter the building). On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, you will be able to enter the building at 8 am and stay until midnight, but again, after 10 pm, you will not be able to enter or re-enter the building. We expect you will have ID cards by Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning, which will give you "full" card access (for a list of Library hours, see our web page).
