ASL Library Summer Hours

Our summer schedule begins on Monday, May 3. As a reminder, the Library will be closing at 5 pm on Friday, April 30, and there will be no student access during Commencement weekend (May 1 and 2).

Our public hours during the summer are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. We will not be open to the public on the weekends.

For students, we will have staffed hours Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Students will also have card access to the building Monday through Friday, 8 am to 10 pm; Saturday, noon to 6 pm; and Sunday, 5 pm to 10 pm. Students who need a replacement card can stop by Chris' office during the week (there's a $5 charge).

The Library will be closed to the public and students on Memorial Day, May 31 (Monday), and Independence Day, July 5 (Monday).

National Library Week Day 5

Thanks to all who tried the challenging puzzles this year to celebrate National Library Week! (We thought Thursday's puzzle would be the hardest, but it turns out most of you thought Wednesday's was worse.) A list of the winners has been posted to our National Library Week page. Answers have been posted on Chris' door. Thanks again to LexisNexis and Westlaw for providing prizes for all of our entrants.

National Library Week Day 4

We stumped a lot of people with our "word sudoku" for yesterday's National Library Week puzzle, and we think today's puzzle is even harder! We have some legally-themed quotations from some famous movies, but they're all scrambled! Do your best to unscramble them before tomorrow's deadline to be eligible to win a prize!

Today is the last day of puzzles for National Library Week. We'll be having the prize drawing tomorrow at 10 am (winners need not be present to win; we'll leave a note in your mailbox if you win). Thanks to all for participating in National Library Week. And if you missed any of our puzzles this week, they're all available on our National Library Week page.

National Library Week Day 3

Another day, another puzzle! The ASL Library celebrates National Library Week by offering law- and library-themed puzzles during the week. Today's puzzle is a "word sudoku" -- instead of numbers, we use letters. There's a reason why we've used certain letters in the puzzles, so after you've finished the sudoku puzzles, unscramble the letters to find phrases that have something in common.

Today's puzzle, and our prior puzzles, can be found on our National Library Week page. We have one remaining puzzle for the week, so check back tomorrow too!

National Library Week Day 2

National Library Week continues at the ASL Library with yet another puzzle. Today we have a word search full of law school graduates who found success doing something else. It's good to know that there are other options for those with a legal degree but a waning interest in the law :)

As always, today's puzzle and all other puzzles can be found on our National Library Week page. We'll have a different puzzle tomorrow!

National Library Week Day 1

The ASL Library celebrates National Library Week this year with some puzzles about law and society. Today's puzzle, though, deals with us: the library staff and the services we provide. Check at the Circulation Desk or on our National Library Week page for a different puzzle tomorrow!

Please note that prizes are only available to ASL students, staff, and faculty. Our thanks to LexisNexis and Westlaw for providing the prizes.
