Labor Day 2016 Hours

During the Labor Day weekend, the Library will have a slightly shorter schedule.

On Monday, September 5, 2016, the Library will be closed to the public. Students with a valid ID card will have access to the Library from noon to midnight, but the Circulation/Reserve Desk will not be staffed.

The prior weekend hours will remain unchanged. Students with a valid ID card will have access to the Library on Saturday, September 3, from 9 am to midnight, and on Sunday, September 4, from noon to midnight. The Circulation/Reserve Desk will be staffed from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and from noon to 8 pm on Sunday. (The Library is not open to the general public on the weekends.)

Fall Semester 2016 Hours

Our Fall Semester 2016 hours begin on Sunday, August 14.

For our students, we will generally have the Circulation/Reserve Desk open on Mondays through Thursdays from 8 am to 8 pm, on Fridays from 8 am to 5 pm, on Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm, and on Sundays from noon to 8 pm. However, all students with a current ID can access the building from 6 am to midnight Mondays through Fridays, from 9 am to midnight Saturdays, and noon to midnight Sundays.

Our public patrons are invited to use the Library from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. We do not offer public hours on the weekends.

These hours are always subject to change, especially during school breaks. A list of most of our holidays and breaks can be found on our Library Hours page. We will post any last-minute changes on the main ASL Library page.

Orientation Hours 2016

The Library will have special hours for the Introduction to Law (Orientation) class scheduled for the week of August 8.


On Sunday, August 7, new students will be able to access the Library using our side-entry door (which faces the Classroom Building) from noon to midnight; our Circulation/Reserve Desk will be open from noon to 8 pm. The Library will be closed to the public.

From Monday, August 8, through Thursday, August 11, new students will be able to access the Library from 8 am to midnight. Our Circulation/Reserve Desk will be open from 8 am to 8 pm those days. Public patrons can access the Library from 9 am to 4 pm on those days.

On Friday, August 12, new students will be able to access the Library from 8 am to midnight, while our Circulation/Reserve Desk will be open from 8 am to 5 pm. Public patrons can access the Library from 9 am to 4 pm.

Finally, on Saturday, August 13, there will be no access to the Library. Our school year hours will begin on Sunday, August 14.


New students will be given a tour of the campus, including the Library, before lunch on Monday, and then will be returning to the Library to get ID pictures taken in the late afternoon. On Wednesday, members of the Class of 2019 will receive their ID cards, plus Lexis and Westlaw passwords.
