Labor Day Hours 2014

The Library will have more limited hours on Monday, September 1 (Labor Day). The Library's Circulation/Reserve Desk will be closed all day, although students will be able to access the building with a valid ID from noon to midnight.

The prior weekend hours will not be changed. (On Saturday, the Desk will be open from 9 am to 5 pm, with access from 9 am to midnight. On Sunday, the Desk will be open from noon to 8 pm, with access from noon to midnight.)

The Library will be closed all three days to the public.

Fall Semester 2014 Schedule

During Fall Semester 2014, the Library will generally be open to the public Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, except on holidays and school breaks.

For students, the Library's Circulation Desk will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 8 pm, Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 12 noon to 8 pm (except on certain holidays).

With a valid ID card, students have access to the Library building Monday through Friday from 6 am to midnight, Saturday 9 am to midnight, and Sunday 12 noon to midnight, with some modifications during holiday periods.

Welcome, Class of 2017!

Welcome, ASL Class of 2017!

For those of you eager to look around the campus, the ASL Library will be open on Sunday, August 10. We'll have someone at our Circulation/Reserve Desk from noon to 8 pm. If you're still in the Library by 8 pm, you can stay until midnight (although once you leave, you're locked out). Please use our side-entry door as our main street-facing doors are locked and alarmed on the weekends.

Our Library staff will meet you on Monday (August 11) after lunch. We'll take your ID card photos, and you'll also be getting your e-mail set up (if you haven't done that already) and your parking pass registered. Later, we'll do a little song and dance about the Library and its services (well, not really: none of us can sing).

We expect to be handing out your ID cards, plus Lexis and Westlaw passwords, on Wednesday, August 13, although we're not officially on the schedule. We'll provide more information about that next week.

While you won't have classwork until the first week of school, you're invited to stay in the Library to meet with your study groups and new friends. Our school hours kick in next week, so we'll be staffed Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 8 pm, although once you get your ID card, you can remain in the building until midnight. (We'll be staffed Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, in case you were wondering.)
