We are posting several of your Orientation week handouts on our web site, as you do not yet have access to TWEN, the Westlaw Education Network. You will get your TWEN password on Tuesday afternoon during the Library ID process.

Welcome, 1Ls!

Welcome to Grundy!

You'll get to meet the Library staff on Tuesday afternoon (August 14) as you drop by to get your picture taken for your student ID card. At that time, we'll also give you a CALI CD filled with legal tutorials, a limited Westlaw password, and a chance to take a quick tour of our building. By then, you'll have already received your Student User Guide in your welcome packet on Monday, August 13.

If you plan on arriving in Grundy before Orientation begins, please be aware that your Library access is limited as you don't have an ID card yet. On Sunday, August 12, we'll have the side door (the door facing the Classroom Building) unlocked from 1 pm to 10 pm.

ASL Library Academic Year Hours

The Appalachian School of Law Library will be open the following hours during the 2007-2008 academic year:

For public patrons:
Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
Saturday, Closed
Sunday, 1 pm - 5 pm

For students with a valid ID card:
Monday - Friday, 6 am - midnight
Saturday - Sunday, 9 am - midnight

Hours may be limited on holidays and for other events. Please see our web page for a list of the limited access days.

ASL Bookstore Hours

The Appalachian School of Law Bookstore is having extended hours during the next two weeks. Stop by the store -- which is located in University Plaza, next to Bellacino's and the Comfort Inn -- during the following hours:

* Monday - Friday: 11 am - 6 pm
* Saturday, August 11: noon - 5 pm
* Saturday, August 18: noon - 5 pm
* Sunday, August 19: 1 pm - 4 pm
