Welcome, Class of 2018!

Welcome, ASL Class of 2018!

If you're arriving in town a little early, the ASL Library will be open on Sunday, August 9. We'll have someone at our Circulation/Reserve Desk from noon to 8 pm. If you're still in the Library at 8 pm, you can stay until midnight (although once you leave, you're locked out). Please use the marked (side-entry) door to enter, as our main street-facing doors are locked and alarmed on the weekends.

Our library staff will be meeting you on Monday, August 10, in the late afternoon. We'll take your ID card photos while you'll also have the chance to get your official ASL e-mail account set up. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have: about the Library, about Grundy and Buchanan County, or about law school itself.

Then we'll be handing out your ID cards, plus Lexis and Westlaw passwords, later in the week. We'll provide more information about that as it gets closer.

And since you should be starting to practice strong study skills early in your law school career, make a note that the Library has two sets of hours. The Library is staffed Mondays through Thursdays, 8 am to 8 pm; Fridays, 8 am to 5 pm; Saturdays, 9 am to 5 pm; and Sundays, noon to 8 pm. However, once you get your official student ID card, you will have access to the Library building Mondays through Fridays, 6 am to midnight; Saturdays, 9 am to midnight; and Sundays, noon to midnight. We have a handful of exceptions which we've posted on our Library hours page.

We look forward to seeing you on campus!
