(PS: You may still see some references to "Lee-Jackson-King Day" in Virginia. For several years, the Commonwealth of Virginia celebrated the birthdays of General Robert E. Lee, General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson, and the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., all on the same day -- the third Monday in January. The birthdays were split up in 2000, so King's birthday is celebrated on that Monday, and the generals share the prior Friday. For a more detailed explanation, see the ASL Library News for January 2006.)
