VITA Tax Assistance in ASL Library

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax assistance for certain taxpayers. All of the volunteers in the VITA program have been trained and certified by the IRS.

If you think you need tax assistance, stop by the ASL Library on Wednesdays from 1 - 4pm, and Sundays from 1 - 4pm.

Please bring the following items:
* Driver's license or other photo I.D. card
* Social Security card or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) for all members in your family
* All W-2 forms
* If filing jointly, your spouse must be present
* Copy of prior year tax return (if applicable)
* 1099 forms (if applicable)
* 1099-G unemployment benefits
* 1099-INT bank interest statement
* 1099-R Pensions, Annuities, Retirement Plans
* Account Numbers for electronic deposit of refund

Please note that the ASL Library staff is not trained or certified to answer your tax questions when the VITA volunteers are not present.
